The Great Commission: Come Together & Pray

The day is here to come together and pray. We pray for tomorrow and the next, but we never miss the day in place. Thankfully, there is a dawn of great awakening coming, and we see the signs of goodness all around. Yes, I said “goodness” not evil. Through the spirit of evil, we’re bombarded with messages deliberately designed to push us off course so that others will be the bearers of sorrow while we maintain thought leaders of real likeness to God. Be at rest today and carry out the plan that He intended for all people. God’s plan is inclusive, not discriminating. Christ provides a message of hope not despair. We kindly... read more

God Delivers the Desires of Your Heart

Returning home on a flight from Rwanda in April, 2014 I faced the decision that the mission was not going to move forward and even though it was the right decision for Rwanda, I felt so disappointed. I couldn’t help but doubt and wonder, “was this whole mission conjured up in my mind trying to be a “do-gooder” or was it inspired by God as I initially thought?” After several months of deliberation with myself, I concluded that the plan to open a technology training center in Kigali, Rwanda was indeed “Teresa’s doing” and not God’s will. Had I sought the Lord for discernment on that question, as I would today, I may have... read more

God Knows What We Need – The Prayer Bench

God knows what we need even when we don’t have a clue. I recall a time in my life when prayer was not a priority because I found it challenging to devote the proper amount of time, focus, and patience to the wonderful world of prayer that I know today. Praise God for His faithfulness and ability to provide the perfect solution. I remember speaking to God about my challenges with prayer and seeking His wisdom. Clearly, within my spirit, I heard the words “prayer bench.” I immediately thought “prayer bench? What is a prayer bench?” I envisioned a Catholic church with people kneeling in their pews. So what did a prayer bench have... read more

Love as a Strangely Wrapped Gift

Hesitantly, the Son walks over to say goodbye and offers a hug to his Father. Awkwardly, the Father hugs the Son back quickly, and from the spectator’s viewpoint, one would believe that there isn’t much love between them. However, the spectator knew that in twenty plus years of knowing the Father and Son, this was hug number three and significant progress of expressing love between them just occurred. As the Son walks towards the door, the Father says twice, “be sure to come back if you have the chance.” The spectator pointed out to the Son that what his Father was trying to express was, “I miss you, and I want to spend time... read more

God Is With Us 247 purpose

God is with us; He is our leader

Looking in the rear view mirror, a reflection of the week where God stepped in as the leader. “God is with us; he is our leader.” – 2 Chronicles 13:12 How true of that statement! Through the highs and lows of doubt to determination, God always shows up and delivers on His promises and this past week was not an exception. How? You ask… Preparation – God is with us preparing the people, places, and things that we need well in advance. People that I met five years ago became advocates for my new business this week. Going out of their way to support, encourage and introduce my companies to people that can benefit... read more

Unknown Miracles

“A large falling tree limb almost killed me,” Keith said as he came rushing in the house with genuine panic and relief. “It took a split second for me to turn back and pick up a piece of rope I had left behind and the split second saved my life. It’s crazy!” Tremendous relief came over me that my husband was standing in front of me alive and well sharing his story. I also thanked God at that moment for distracting him with the piece of rope. Later in the day, I paused to think about the alternative outcome of the falling tree limb and the significance of the cross made from a tree.... read more

Is Servant Leadership for Atheists?

A recent visit to get a hair cut led into a healthy discussion on whether servant leadership can apply to atheists. As I shared the mission of 24/7 Purpose equipping spiritual growth and servant leadership training with my stylist, it sparked a relevant conversation.  She said, “That’s so interesting because the topic of servant leadership came up with my friend who is an atheist. She was interviewing for a job, and the employer mentioned that one of their core values is being a servant leader. She left excited about the position but concerned that she might be expected to pray at work. I felt a bit embarrassed that I could not give her an... read more

God First. Is He Truly My Priority?

Around five o’clock am, I woke up with one eye open and fumbled for my iPhone strategically located on my night stand. I blinked a few times to remove the blur cautiously scanning my inbox for emails to alert me of any system issues. The morning inbox determined how hectic my morning would be and set the pace for the day. After a long day of back-to-back meetings, it was time to recheck the inbox which might take a few hours to catch up. If systems were stable, I jumped in the car for an hour commute home with a typical ETA of eight o’clock pm. Wake up the next morning, rinse and repeat.... read more

Marriage Restoration Formula that Works

I recall a time when my Husband Keith couldn’t do anything “right.” The reality of that statement is that my mind was not “right” and I was more interested in my “fight to be right” than being the wife God intended, but I didn’t know how.  I also didn’t know that we needed marriage restoration. For hurting couples, marriage restoration is 100% achievable when we are aware of God’s plan for successful marriage. When I fell in love with Keith, I fell as hard and fast as humanly possible. One of those love stories where the two people meet, and they are together from that point forward going on 25 years. The falling in... read more

I’m a New Christian! Now what?

I recall being a new Christian. It was exciting, awkward, intimidating, uncertain, and thrilling all at the same time. Unfortunately, my development as a newly baptized Christian delayed for many years because of a gap in answering the question, “now what?” Even though I attended church from my earliest years of childhood, my defining moment of becoming a new Christian was at age sixteen when I chose to be water baptized and made God a priority in my life. I never felt such peace and confidence knowing that I was on the right track. However, those emotions quickly faded into what seemed like a first-time visitor driving through New York City without a road... read more
