Haiti Mission Update: Mission of Hope IT Training School

Haiti Mission Update Tears of joy roll down my cheeks as I share this update on the Haiti mission taking place at the Mission of Hope, Haiti campus. All that I can think about is how good and gracious our God is to everyone. “The Lord is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works. All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, and Your godly ones shall bless You.  They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power.” – Psalm 145:9-11 (NASB) For almost ten years, serving global missions has been the catalyst for our adventures with God and growing closer to Him.... read more

inspirations from the lord

Inspirations from the Lord

In my morning quiet time with God I pray for wisdom.  Sometimes I receive inspirations from the Lord intended for sharing… Celebration is a way of life. Be generous in all things. Wake up with prosperous ceremonies. Count the riches of this world and many blessings. Share faith in a positive way of righteous understanding. Families unite for a celebration of rightful sharing and to serve the masses a fruit of righteousness. Be brave on the calling at hand and see how it measures your soul. (See soul sanctification) Surrender hearts of worry. Tackle the torment with tenacity. Share the burdens of tomorrow with the righteous. Peace, be still. Forget the wicked ways of... read more

back pain into empathy 247 purpose

Turning Back Pain into Empathy

How ironic. Just a few weeks ago I blogged about turning trials into triumph. Today, I’m typing this one flat on my back to share my revelation of turning back pain into empathy.  Sounds like a trial to me! Thankfully, compared to many people, my lifetime contains a few minor injuries, illnesses, and surgeries. Not enough for me to experience long-term chronic pain or physical suffering. Therefore, my pain tolerance is low at the level of “whiny baby” but I prefer to suffer alone so only those closest to me are lucky enough to enjoy the pouting. On day seven, I must admit that my attitude about this discomfort was less than honorable.  Yes,... read more

trials to triumph 247 purpose

Turn Trials Into Triumph

During my long season as a “work-a-holic,” I faced multiple trials in my professional career as well as my personal life. Specifically, with my marriage. It’s not difficult to imagine the damage inflicted on a relationship when the number one priority is hyper-focused on work and career pursuits. Gratefully, I’ve learned how to turn trials into triumph. When I look back on bad circumstances or trials, as I call them, I can see situations that were self-inflicted and others that were entirely out of my control or a combination of both. What I find fascinating is the way trials in life shape our future regardless of our role in the affliction. The future state... read more

12 Bible Verses to Conquer Business Owner Fear

As business owners, it’s easy to become discouraged at times. We need strong words of wisdom to keep us motivated, focused, and help us conquer business owner fear. At 3:30 am I awoke with a feeling that I thought I buried after leaving the demands of my technology career. I thought, “Oh no, this familiar enemy is back. I know this foe. It’s called work anxiety!” I tried falling back to sleep, but the fear was too loud. Thankfully, I know who my comforter is in times of struggle, so I head to the office in my PJ’s seeking words of advice from the ultimate word source. Oh, how I love Google! A quick... read more

real problems

So, What’s the Problem? She asked…

God help me! Not because I’m down and out or hitting rock bottom. Not because I don’t have an abundance to live a good life. Not because I don’t have people who love and support me. So what’s the problem? That’s the exact question that my dear Mentor Diane Hale used to ask me when I get to this state of mind. The state of mind that isn’t logical compared to the reality of our life. The state of mind that shifts into panic mode with absolutely no rational reason. It’s just unfocused and overloaded with problems that don’t really exist.  Mark Twain said, “I’ve suffered many dramas in my life, most of which... read more

The Great Commission: Come Together & Pray

The day is here to come together and pray. We pray for tomorrow and the next, but we never miss the day in place. Thankfully, there is a dawn of great awakening coming, and we see the signs of goodness all around. Yes, I said “goodness” not evil. Through the spirit of evil, we’re bombarded with messages deliberately designed to push us off course so that others will be the bearers of sorrow while we maintain thought leaders of real likeness to God. Be at rest today and carry out the plan that He intended for all people. God’s plan is inclusive, not discriminating. Christ provides a message of hope not despair. We kindly... read more

God Is With Us 247 purpose

God is with us; He is our leader

Looking in the rear view mirror, a reflection of the week where God stepped in as the leader. “God is with us; he is our leader.” – 2 Chronicles 13:12 How true of that statement! Through the highs and lows of doubt to determination, God always shows up and delivers on His promises and this past week was not an exception. How? You ask… Preparation – God is with us preparing the people, places, and things that we need well in advance. People that I met five years ago became advocates for my new business this week. Going out of their way to support, encourage and introduce my companies to people that can benefit... read more

god first priority 247 purpose

God First. Is He Truly My Priority?

Around five o’clock am, I woke up with one eye open and fumbled for my iPhone strategically located on my night stand. I blinked a few times to remove the blur cautiously scanning my inbox for emails to alert me of any system issues. The morning inbox determined how hectic my morning would be and set the pace for the day. After a long day of back-to-back meetings, it was time to recheck the inbox which might take a few hours to catch up. If systems were stable, I jumped in the car for an hour commute home with a typical ETA of eight o’clock pm. Wake up the next morning, rinse and repeat.... read more

new Christian 247 purpose

I’m a New Christian! Now what?

I recall being a new Christian. It was exciting, awkward, intimidating, uncertain, and thrilling all at the same time. Unfortunately, my development as a newly baptized Christian delayed for many years because of a gap in answering the question, “now what?” Even though I attended church from my earliest years of childhood, my defining moment of becoming a new Christian was at age sixteen when I chose to be water baptized and made God a priority in my life. I never felt such peace and confidence knowing that I was on the right track. However, those emotions quickly faded into what seemed like a first-time visitor driving through New York City without a road... read more
